Why did HCTC21 decide to go virtual? To protect the health and safety of attendees, speakers, and sponsors. We also understand the financial challenges that COVID has negatively impacted many personal and program budgets. Being virtual, we are able to provide a tremendous, safe experience at an affordable cost.

What if there is a successful vaccine developed before May? HCTC21 will stay virtual, as there remains uncertainty with the availability of a vaccine once it is approved. We hope to be back in-person in for HCTC22. In fact, each HCTC21 registrant will receive a 5% discount off their in-person HCTC22 registration price.

Do you limit the number of registrations? Yes. Registration is limited to the first 100 registrants. One of the aspects that makes HCTC special is the intimate learning and networking environment. It is much more easier to stand out while networking when you are one of 100 instead of one of several hundred, whether you are in-person or virtual.

Is HCTC just for assistant coaches? Absolutely not. We have had numerous head coaches from all collegiate levels attend HCTC to learn strategies to not just obtain a new Head Coach position, but also how to be the most successful in their current role as a Head Coach.

If my Assistant Coach is not ready to become a Head Coach, why should they come to HCTC? If their end goal is to become a Head Coach, it is never too early to learn and implement successful strategies. Hearing exactly what you go through as a Head Coach will help them relate better to your in your role, while learning necessary responsibilities will make your job easier by allowing you to delegate more easily to them and allow them to take more ownership of those responsibilities.
